أثر الشعر العربيّ في شعر العلماء في أرخبيل الملايو : دراسةٌ تحليليَّةٌ مقارنةٌ
Abstract
A poem is the art of discovering the aesthetic and emotional aspects of life and expressing them in syntactic and rhyming words. The status of Arabic poetry has remained high since the pre-Islamic era until nowadays. With the fact that it has spread throughout the world, including to the Malay Archipelago, many non-Arabic-speaking students learn Arabic poems because they see it as a different art form and a beautiful style. They established Islamic scholars, writers, and poets in their countries and studied them diligently. From this establishment, the Pre is a deep relationship between Arabic and Malay poetry because the Arabic language is the language of Islam. But the history of the emergence of Arabic poetry in the Malay Archipelago is still unknown. The researcher chose Malay Islamic scholars' poems as the most suitable analytical model, to show the influence of Arabic poetry on their poems. To that end, the researcher has attempted, to the best of her ability, to produce a well-documented research analysis exposing these interesting facts about local people's concerns since the advent of Islam. The researcher then identified six selected scholars, such as Sheikh Hamzah Fansuri of Aceh, Indonesia; Raja Ali Haji bin Raja Haji Ahmad of Riau; Sheikh Ahmad Fathoni of Pattani, Thailand; Pehin Siraja Khatib Abdul Razak bin Hasanuddin of Brunei; Maulana Omar Ali Saifuddin of Brunei; and Ahmad Ya’akob Al-Johori of Malaysia. Using a descriptive and comparative analysis approach, the researcher conducted experiments to identify how Arabic poetry inspired them. As a result, the researcher
made several discoveries, including the importance of Arabic poetry in developing Islamic legacies in the Malay Archipelago and its Islamic implementation, which includes artistic and aesthetic interpretations, as well as revealing that Arabic poetry was one of the teaching methods for Malay Islamic education students, and even discovering a large number of tombstones engraved with Arabic poetry, on which the researcher stood during her field study at several Muslim cemeteries both inside and outside the country, as well as reviewing the sources and references that related to these study issues. The impact of Arabic poetry on the selected Ulama is detected from the perspective of education in which Arabic poetry is used as the main method of teaching Malay students.
