dc.description.abstractThis research aims to identify the Fiqh method “no harm to oneself and not harmful to other” and its applications in Brunei Darussalam. This method is taken directly from hadith of the Prophet peace be upon him, is seen important in helping contemporary scholars find similarities and make comparations to various Fiqh problems and adapt them to the new problems that do not yet have Islamic law. The researcher follows reading and analytical approach, that is, by referring to past and contemporary Fiqh books related to the subject of Fiqh methods. Then by analyzing its application in Brunei Darussalam, as in cases of worship: prohibiting people from praying in mosques during a corona virus outbreak, etc. The results of this study indicate that the Fiqh method “no harm to oneself and not harmful to other” and some fractions of method below it has been used in many problems in Brunei Darussalam, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic in Brunei Darussalam.en_US
