dc.description.abstractThis research aims to discuss about usury and murabahah in the Islamic perspective and the history of usury and murabahah. Usury and murabahah have existed since the pre-Islamic era until now. Usury has been prohibited in Islam since its existence. However, usury is still happening until today, especially in debt. Murabahah is one types of trade. Trade is permitted in Islam. Therefore, murabahah is permissible in Islam since its existence. This study consists of three chapters. First chapter is about the history of usury and murabahah. Second chapter explains about usury in the Islamic perspective which contains about the harms and punishments for people who take usury and the third chapter explains about murabahah in the Islamic perspective. The writing of this study refers to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. The research method for this research is by referring to the reference books related to this topic available at the library. The findings of this study shows that the prohibition of usury is to look after the welfare of the community. While murabahah is allowed in Islam because it is one types of trading. The author hopes that this research will give clear explanation about usury and murabahah and it could bring benefit to the readersen_US
