Abstract

Although Brunei Darussalam is a country that is guided by the teachings of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah and always takes steps by monitoring activities related to religion to control the practice or teachings of Islam in this country, there are also a handful of people who practice heretical or wrong teachings in the Islamic side and the laws enforced in the country. The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding to the people of Brunei about the control of the spread of Islam that is enforced in this country which not everyone cares about this matter. Therefore, in this study explains some chapters on the general offenses found in the Syariah Criminal Code Order 2013 where the author will focus on four chapters related to worship, namely on doctrine or practices that are contrary to Hukum Syara', issuing fatwas without permission, religious teaching without written aproval and build mosque without permission.
