The present study aims to analyse mistakes among Arabic Secondary Schools students in Brunei Darussalam in translating pronouns from Malay to Arabic. Therefore, this study uses descriptive analysis approach. Tools, such as questionnaires and translation exercises, are used to analyse the translation mistakes and causes using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The present study also randomly selected 180 Arabic Secondary Schools students as the sample for this study, of which 65 of them are students at Rimba Arabic School, and the remaining 115 students are studying at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Arabic Religious Secondary School. The results show that incorrect translation of the pronoun’s gender and its number and omission of pronouns in the translations are some of the primary common mistakes made by the students. Therefore, the present study suggests that students and teachers must do translation practices more often by providing various translation exercises and activities in the Arabic language and translation classroom.en_US
