| dc.description.abstract | This research paper discusses several issues related to the challenges faced by Muslims today in the aspects of their faith and belief seemingly affected as a result of the ongoing globalization. Thus, this research paper addresses the tension between the globalization system and ancient forces of culture, geography, tradition, and community based on the study of Islamic research. For that reason, it brings sorrow to Muslims around the world, including not a few Muslim countries particularly fear that globalization brings the decay of social values. In addition to that, the researcher will explain why globalization is regarded as a challenge to the faith spirituality and, if so what spiritual nourishment is to be offered to the Muslim population of a globalizing world. Furthermore, the researcher will explicate extensively on the impact of globalization on the Muslim world. For that reason, Muslims should not be merely at the receiving end; they must plan and prepare themselves to play a positive role both to protect their identity and interests and to make the world a better place for all. Finally, Muslims must realize that emotional outbursts and thoughtless confrontation are no answers to the multidimensional challenges the ummah faces today. In fact, as an ummah with a mission, the right course of action for the Muslims is a dialogue, contact, participation, and cooperation at the global level. This must be an essential component of their strategy.
