السحر بين أهل السنة والمعتزلة

Abstract

The research aims to introduce the meaning of witchcraft in the perspective of Ahli Sunnah and Mu'tazilah. So, I came with different concepts and opinions from ulama Ahli Sunnah and Mutazilah for this topic. I used two method for this research; Comparison method and Criticism method. The comparison method acts in comparing concepts from ulama Ahli Sunnah and Mu'tazilah and defines the different between the concepts. On the other hand, the criticism method, I have come to explain the right concept from the two parties. This research outcomes is to explain Ahli Sunnah and Mu'tazilah 's opinions with their own evidences from Al-quran and intellectual. I even focused in this research in explaining the concepts from Ahli Sunnah and Mu'tazilah; whereas Ahli Sunnah believe witchcraft is real and exist as said in All-quran and Sunnah. However, Mu'tazilah denied the existence of witchcraft , claiming it was only an illusion supporting their claim with traditional and intellectual evidences. By that, I have mentioned on this research the argument of Ahli SUnnah towards the denial of Mu'tazilah. This research showed the explaination of Ulama's concept towards witchcraft especially from Ahli Sunnah and Mu'tazilah, in additon from another views such as to learn, teach, and practice witchcraft and define islamic prospective towards it.
