dc.description.abstract | Indeed, jihad has begun since the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and his companions. Jihad covers mujahadah nafs and wars, therefore, both Sunnis and Shia agree in the definition of jihad terminology while disagree on a few things. This research describes the terminology of Jihad according to the Sunni and Shia, issues involving jihad, and the comparative study between the two sects in Jihad. This research utilized classic and secondary readings on Creed written by the Sunni and Shia scholars. Therefore, this research shows that Jihad is defined as mujahada nafs in terms of faith and morals, and wars in terms of fiqh, although the Shia scholars are more inclined to the second definition, which then causes many disagreements with the Sunni scholars in understanding the issue of jihad. | en_US |
