مادة القرآن الكريم في المدارس الدينية العربية في سلطنة بروناي دارالسلام: دراسة تقويمية
Abstract
Subject Al-Quran Al-Karim is a compulsory core subject for students of Arabic Religious Schools in Brunei Darussalam. This study aims to examine the syllabus and book used in accordance with the students, as well as the dismantling of the problems and to identify appropriate ways and methods to engage students in learning the subjects of the Quran, and to research vulnerability factors students in the reading of the Quran. This study carried out in two Arabic Schools from different districts in Brunei Darussalam, namely Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic Girls Religious Secondary School, Brunei Muara and Mahad Islam Brunei, Tutong in 2016 academic session. This study used quantitative methods approach methodology through distribution of questionnaires involving teachers and students. The respondents comprised of 15 teachers of the Quran subject and 180 students from year 8 from both schools as an instrument for information and data to meet the needs of this study. The results of the study data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 22.0 to get the number and percentage.. The study found that the teachers and students agreed with the syllabus and textbook used in accordance with the standards of the age of the students. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend that the language used in the book of this subject is to use the Arabic language; because the principles they learned in the Arabic Religious School is Arabic.
