Islam and the Arabic language entered it since the eleventh century CE, Islam and Arab education have spread since that historical period, only after entering the French colonial power in the country began the decline in Arab education in the State of Burkina Faso, In addition to the marginalization of the Arabic language by the government, Hence the research problem, which lies in the reasons for the decline and marginalization of the Arabic language in Burkina Faso, This thesis came to study this problem through a set of goals, It summarizes the introduction of Islam and the Arabic language in Burkina Faso, And the extent of interest in the Arabic language in Burkina Faso, and the challenges facing on Arab education in Burkina Faso from colonialism to the present day, the approach used in this study is the descriptive and analytical approach based on collecting data through extrapolation, questionnaires, personal interviews and some books that dealt with some aspects of the topic, The research has concluded, It can be summed up as the teaching and learning of the Arabic language in Burkina Faso faces many problems; Including instability of the curriculum, The inefficiency of most of the teachers in teaching Arabic, The mismatch between students' ages and educational levels, The research also concluded that parents do not pay the monthly fees. The weakness of the infrastructure for Arab schools, also lack of financial resources, And that these Arab schools still depend on the efforts of individuals, although the government began supporting these schools on the condition that they be an Arab-French school. Finally, the researcher presented suggestions and recommendations; it may be the cause of solving some of the problems that stand in the field of teaching and learning the Arabic language in Burkina Faso, Its summary: scrutinizing curricula, providing appropriate educational aids to Arab schools, continuous training for teachers, Creating a library in every Arab school, monitoring the quality of education in these schools, providing teachers' rights in Arab schools. | en_US |
