Isu dan Cabaran Pelaksanaan Pengajaran Al-Quran di Skim Tilawah Al-Quran Remaja Negara Brunei Darussalam
Abstract
This research was conducted to study the issues and challenges in the implementation of the Al-Quran teaching in the Youth Recitation Scheme, Brunei Darussalam. This research aims to identify the ways of implementing the Al-Quran teaching and to examine the issues and challenges faced by teachers in the implementation of the Al-Quran teaching and propose measures to strengthen the implementation of the Al-Quran teaching in the Youth Al-Quran Recitation scheme. This research is a qualitative study in forms of case study. The sample of the research consists of the head of the Qur'an and Dikir recital Unit, under the Advanced Education Division, Department of Islamic Studies, Ministry of Religious Affairs and 6 Youth Al-Quran Recitation Scheme’s teachers from 3 districts. The instruments used in this research are semi-structured interviews as the main study data, observation sessions and document analysis. Data in this research was analyzed using ATLAS. ti program. 7.5.7 version. The findings showed that the teachers often used the Talaqqi Musyafahah method in the process of teaching and learning and less diversification of strategies, methods and techniques in delivering teaching content. The use of teaching aids such as projector is rarely used. Furthermore, data analysis from this study showed that the teachers and the Youth Al-Quran Recitation Scheme faced various problems such as not having permanent building, lack of teacher involvement in seminars, courses or workshops. The teachers and students’ attendance and the curriculum of the Youth Al-Quran Recitation Scheme were also among the problems that was faced by the scheme.
