dc.description.abstractThis research aims to introduce the customs and traditions of Bruneian Muslim Marriage according to the perspectives of al-Qur'an and Al-Sunnah. It focuses of the explanations on the customs and rituals in betrothal wedding ceremonies which are against Islamic teachings. The study utilized a survey method whereby questionnaires were distributed to 100 respondents selected at random. The data analysis was done by descriptive method using percentage distribution. From the result of the survey, the researcher found that some aspects of the old customs in marriage are still carried out until today while some were introduced to the younger generation. Nonetheless, 67% of respondents did not realize that some of these customs are against the teachings of Islam.en_US
