| dc.description.abstract | All praises be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds. Prayer and peace be upon His Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, and his family and all of his companions. Al-Shaykh Al-Sayyid Mohammad 'Amim al-Ihsan (d.1395H/1973AC) was one of the renowned scholars and personalities in Indian sub-continent in the nineteen century. He has a great role and significant contribution to spread various religious knowledge and education in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. This research aims to discuss his biography including personal, academic and working life, along with some of his significant qualities, attributes, and contributions to the knowledge and mankind. The research also highlights his momentous efforts and achievements, contributed to the religious knowledge, through writing, understanding, publication, compilation and so forth. In addition, this study analyzes the methodology that he has applied in his books and works in tafsir studies. In this study the researcher has followed the descriptive, analytical, inductive, deductive as well as historical methods to achieve the objectives. The research concludes that Shaykh was known to elucidate the meaning and understanding of the verses of al-Qur'an precisely in the light of the Sunni doctrine. He was renowned for his strong opposition and constructive scientific criticism, in response to the views of Mu'tazila, based on analytical and critical approach. Apart from this, he has numerous scientific outputs that benefit the nation in their near and far future. | en_US |
