dc.description.abstractThe main title of this thesis is "Tenses in Arabic and Malay Language." It aims to reveal the similarities and differences between Arabic (the target language) and in the Malay language (mother tongue) in the case of reaction time. This dissertation is to identify learning difficulties and facilities in learning tenses for Bruneian students. The researcher used contrastive analysis in this research. This study consists of seven chapters. The study had reached several conclusions. It turns out that both have their similarities and differences. Both have similarities in concept of the tense, the use of assistive words and in the division of accurate in tense. While the differences are on using the affixes word and sometimes in semantics tenses. It concluded with recommendations and proposals for the development of learning Tense among the Brunei students.en_US
