dc.description.abstract | Most of modern societies, whether in the west or in the Muslim world, face a problem of lack in a model of Moral qualities and ethics, and for that reason those societies are sank in the darkness of ignorance, secularism and liberalism. This research comes to provide live examples and real picture of the ideal society looked for. This research attempts to answer the following questions: what are the characteristics of the Muslim society in the light of Surah al-Hujurat? what is the role of those characteristics in reforming the society? to what extent those characteristics are exemplified in Muslim societies? This research aims at identifying the characteristics of the Muslim society from Surah al-Hujurat, and how they can be used to achieve spiritual and social reformation of society. The researcher used a combination of inductive, analytical, critical and comparative study of the primary and secondary sources of tafseer and field research in which a questionnaire was distributed among the students of Sutlan Sharif Ali Islamic University-UNISSA, University of Brunei Darussalam, and Faculty of Islamic Studies in Kosovo. The research concludes that implementing the Quranic ethics, especially the ethics and characteristics which are mentioned in the Surah al-Hujurat, leads to the reformation of individuals and society, and freeing them from bad characteristics and ethics. It concludes also that every individual and society should review his faith, revive it, and strengthen it by good manners and deeds. Once a person reaches the stage of yaqeen, it becomes very easy for him to accept the commands from Allah S.W.T. With true faith and sincere brotherhood between individuals and societies, it is expected to achieve Muslim unity, and if there is unity among Muslims, it is easy to restore the implementation of shari‘ah
