صلاة النوافل وأهميتها وكيفيتها في الفقه الإسلامي

Abstract

Sunnah Prayers are optional and non-compulsory prayers that are performed in addition to the five daily prayers. This academic exercise is aimed to give information and to learn more about Sunnah Prayers in Islam. To achieve these objectives, this academic exercise has used the methodology of library research by referring and analyzing the Islamic Jurisprudence books, Tafsir, Hadiths and articles from Internet. Moreover, questionnaires on Sunnah prayers are also distributed among public. The main discussions of this academic exercise are divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses the definitions of Sunnah Prayers among the four mazhabs which also includes the dalil and the importance of Sunnah Prayers. The second chapter explains further on the classification of Sunnah prayers and ways to perform them. In the last chapter, the researcher discusses the questions and the feedback based on the questionnaires that were distributed among people and secondly, the effects of Sunnah Prayers on the society. Hence, the important findings of this academic exercise are that Sunnah Prayers can be divided into two; ones that can be performed within group (Jema’ah) and ones that can be performed personally. In addition, this academic exercise also includes the views of scholars and their disagreements on some issues and therefore, it also helps to learn to perform Sunnah Prayers correctly.
