dc.description.abstractThis dissertation aims to provide the public with an understanding of aurah according to Islamic Jurisprudence and its impact on religious life and society. In addition, the objective of this dissertation is to identify the differences and limitations of the obligation covering aurah for men and women in opinion among the four main mazhab which are Mazhab Hanafi, Mazhab Maliki, Mazhab Syafie and Mazhab Hanbali in understanding and intepreting the islamic tenets of Islamic covering. This dissertation discusses the obligation of covering aurah on religious life and society and its impact in showing and covering aurah based on Islamic Jurisprudence. The methodology of this study is based on the Qur'an and the verses to be explained in more detail as well as with reference books. And the results of this research is most of the Imam of Mazhab have a difference of opinion on the limits of men and women’s aurah. In conclusion, with this discussion, it can provide a deeper and more effective understanding in maintaining the limits of the aurah in certain circumstances.en_US
