dc.description.abstractThis research aims to study the rules of the Islamic Legal Maxims, the "issue of intention," in which researcher seek to clarify its concept and terms and how to draw conclusions about the law and explain its application to a Shariah court in Brunei. Researcher use descriptive analysis methods. Researcher use descriptive and analytical methods, which refer to past and contemporary books to collect scientific material related to this method, and then present and analyze it. Researcher also studied Brunei's Shariah court cases to select examples of decisions considered in the use of this method. Researcher achieve results, most importantly, that intention is the criterion for the validity of practice, especially in the law of worship. Also, this method has many applications in the Shariah court, especially in relation to the legal aspects of divorce.en_US
