Abstract

This research discuses the liberal treads in contemporaty Islamic thought in Indonesia. The research focuses on a non-governmental organization movement in the Muslim community. The issues discuss are based upon the concepts of liberalism, pluralism in religion, freedom of religious practice, multiculturalism, equality among gender and human rights.
