Abstract

Intention is the purpose of mukallaf in all of their actions and statements, without the intention the action cannot be done without their ability. Therefore, this academic study will discuss some issues where people nowadays they have been shackled in their worship by the influences and their doubts and also their commitment within the law of Allah including in the ordinance of legitimacy for example such as hypocrisy which has become one of humanity’s habits without their aware. This academic study aims to know the essence of the intention in terms of the ordinance legitimacy and to show the it’s impacts. The method used in this academic study includes is through inductive or reading method and refers from the original sources of each four scholar of Fiqh and some from scholar Fiqh Usul references to achieve the purpose and summarize the subject of this academic study. Thus, this academic study has divided into three chapters. The first parts, I explain about the definition of the intentions in linguistic and terminological, and the evidence through Quran and Hadith and the opinions of the companions, as well as the fact and the method of intentions. The second parts, describe the place of intention with description, as well as the requirements and sections. Meanwhile the third part, explain the purpose of the intentions and it’s applications. Finally, at the end of this academic study shows some conclusions and some important aspects; The scholars agreed that because the place of intention is locate in heart and make every slave away from the act of hypocricy, and to bring closer to sincerity and honesty because the heart is the place of human’s mind. And some of them do not agree with the statements the place of mind is said to be in the soul, and some also say : it’s in the brain. Afterwards, the purpose of the Shari'a on the intent is divided into several types, namely intention intended for syarak, and intentions aimed for Allah SWT, and some of them are due to mukallaf intentions and the impact in permissible and habits and prohibition.
