dc.description.abstractDusun is on of the indigenous community in Brunei Darussalam. They are practicing a traditional beliefs system which inherited from their ancestor. The tribe of Dusun has experienced a transformation and their beliefs to the extend that the majority of them started to accept and embrace Islam as their religion. The history of Dusun shows that an increased of numbers accepting Islam in the country. This has been confirmed by The Islamic Da'wah Center in Tutong, which aims to disseminate Islam to the indigenous community in including Dusun. Various activities have been conducted to meet the needs of the new Muslims with respect to their spirituality, physical and material needs. With the new change in their religious identity, members of new Dusun Muslims start to face challenges and issues whether from their own families, community, environment or da'wah society. The Da'wah officials try to meet these challenges and fine a possible solution to assist the new Muslims Dusun the issue continues and even with the assistant of government and religious officials in Tutong. However , the number of Muslims Dusun in Tutong has been increased and the community need to have their own insitutions and organization which reflect Islam - Dusun - Identity - Brunei. Therefore, this research is conducted to identify the problems faced by the new Muslims especially among the Dusun community in the Tutong District and to explain a solution to the problems. This research is a library and field research which used questionnaire and interviews as its tools. The study shows that the majority of the new Muslims Dusun are less practicing the teachings of Islam and the issues arises due to lack of activism in attending counseling courses Islamic Da'wah Center. However, various of efforts are taken by the Islamic Da'wah Center and the preacher (Da'ie) as an effort to provide an understanding of Islam for the new Muslims especially among the Dusun tribes in Tutong Dristrict.en_US
