Abstract
The purpose of this study is to learn the concept of human action in Islam and Confucianism, and the researcher herself has committed not to biased when evaluating the objectives of human action in terms of Islamic and Confucianism angle with accordance to descriptive curriculum, comparison and analysis. Despite the lack of references in Arabic related to Confucianism, researcher still able to get clearly picture of Confucianism based on reliable resources and texts. One of the major findings of this study is highlighting the greatness of Islam in estimating the strong commitment to do good deeds and leave the bad deeds that Islam was originally believed firmly in the belief in Allah the one and believe in the Hereafter as the person will be calculated the rewards and punished to the exact figure through their deeds on that day. While the weakness of Confucianism in estimating the strong commitment to do good deeds and leave the bad deeds because of the absence in belief God the One and the Hereafter, which is actually a cover calculation of a human action whether good or bad deeds. This study can be proof and give evidence of human happiness and safety of the environment when the person always following to the laws of Allah and in relation to Prophetic Sunnah to determine the good and bad deeds. While Confucianism not be able to reach the level achieved by Islam in making estimates and identify either good or bad deeds of a person based on human thinking and mind without connecting to God's revelation and Prophetic Sunnah as our guidance, as stated in Quranic verse: ﴿ وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا﴾ surah Al-Isra:81 and say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has departed, indeed is falsehood, (by nature), ever bound to depart”.
