التحول اللغوي في التواصل بين متحدثي اللغة العربية في جامعة السلطان الشريف علي الإسلامية: دراسة تحليلية
Abstract
The Purpose of this research is to find out the use of Code-Switching in communication among the Arabic speakers in Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University by finding the language that many students often switch to it while communicating in Arabic, to find out the causes of switching and then analyzing their opinions toward the use of it. In order to achieve these objectives, the researcher combined qualitative and quantitative approaches by using three tools: questionnaire, interview and observation. The samples of this study are among the Arabic Medium Student at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University from four faculties: Faculty of Arabic Language, Faculty of Usuluddin, Faculty of Shariah and Law and Faculty of Islamic Development Management. A total of 228 samples were analyzed and reviewed by using Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). A total of 31 interviewees with the students that were chosen randomly and and observation was made by listening the conversation among the students in Arabic Language. The researcher concluded her research by presenting the results ot the tree tools, which the researcher has found most of them switched to Malay Language during Arabic conversation. Code-Switching always happen among them due to the lack of ability to speak in Arabic Language. Researcher also found that the majority of students in opinion that Code-Switching is considered as a positive thing because it can increase understanding and ease communication with the others. Finally, the researcher gave some recommendations.
