Abstract

The problem of research is the nature of ethical values, and their examples through the books of Sheikh Nawawi al-Jawi, and their implementation on its interpretation, with the analyzing of important elements that we can get the commitment of the best ethics with our Creator and our human environment and the analyzing of the ways to achieve moral values. This research aims to identify the personality of Sheikh Nawawi al-Jawi through the study of his books on the concept of moral values contained therein, and the method of implementation in his interpretation, and access to the strengthening of moral values. The research methodology adopted by the researcher is inductive and analytical method. This is done by following the concept of ethical values in the Sheikh's books and making his interpretation a model, using the other modern references from the books of interpretations and Hadiths and ethics in order to uncover the elements of ethical values, stabilize under his improvement and then the concept of those elements that reflect what Sheikh Nawawi al-Jawi in his books. This research consists of five chapters. The first is the cognitive framework of the personality of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Jawi, the second is the cognitive framework of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Jawi's books and his interpretation; the third is the theoretical framework of ethical values; the fourth is the moral values that can obtain a outcome from his books; the fifth is the commitment of achieving ethical values. At the end of the research, the researcher reached a number of results, the most important is ethical values of the issues that have priorities in all the books of Sheikh Nawawi al-Jawi, a strong indication of his interest in the strengthening a morality. The difference between the Islamic scholars and the liberals established by human beings, in proving the meaning of the term values and ethics and its relation to the fundamentals of faith and Shari'a that an incongruous dispute, since Islamic law is the origin of moral values. The elements of moral values are divided to three elements: the creation with God means a worship, the ethical values of behavior means the observance of ethics in the sharing of others, and the practical ethical values that have been directed towards the work through which still keep the human rights.
