ترسيخ الأخلاق الإسلامية وتأثيرها في نفوس طلاب مدرسة حسن البلقية العربية الثانوية للبنين

Abstract

Morality is the most important pillar in to become a good Muslim individual. Morality is the essence of Islam. Therefore, the implementation of morality into our youth nation is becoming one of important goal to create a prosperous life. All members of society, in particular the Government of Brunei Darussalam must emphasize Islamic Morals as a step towards realizing the objective of the learning process; which is developing human believer who loves Allah and the Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam and loves his country and king sincerely. Therefore, the researcher has initiated a study to determine the application of Islamic Morals and effectiveness among the students of Sekolah Menengah Arab Laki-laki Hassanal Bolkiah, as they have already learned in the Arabic’s school in the last 5 to 6 years . Therefore, this period is considered sufficient to determine the impact of Islamic morality to the personality, relationships and ‘amal ibadat’. In addition, this research also aimed to identify the social and moral problems among students and their factors. This research is quantitative and qualitative. The findings of the survey and tests are descriptive of the frequency and percentage using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). The results showed that most students are not committed in performing their duties of prayer and fasting. Some of them are also involved in social problems such as smoking, drinking alcohol, bullying, pornography and promiscuity. The researcher hopes the results of this study can provide a clear observation that are useful to the society, especially educators and those who are in the field of education in Brunei Darussalam. This study - according to researcher herself - can be used as a source of information to plan and co-ordinate new programs in education of ‘Akhlak Islam’ in order to form a new powerful generation and capable leaders in the future.
