الدرس الصرفي في المدارس العربية في المرحلة الثانوية في بروناي دار السلام: دراسة وصفية تقويمية
Abstract
This study aims to define on what extent do the series of morphological lessons which are used by the students of Arabic Secondary Schools in Brunei Darussalam (level 9, 10, 11 and Pre University) effective and appropriate with selected evaluation criteria, and thus to ensure that the morphological lessons also appropriate and suitable with the students’ levels. This study based on descriptive evaluation methodology. This is done by analyzing the morphological arts contained in morphological lesson of respective schools with suggestion of the most appropriate criteria to evaluate the quality of the lesson. Besides knowing the percentage as well as the mean of teachers’ views towards morphological lesson through the distribution of questionnaire and then display and interpret results of these answers and choices using SPSS version 20, an interview with some of expertise specialize in the field of Teaching Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers also carried out by the researcher, in order to compile their views, comments and suggestions related to morphological lesson as well as teaching morphology. Embarked from these points, the study is consisted of five chapters; the first represents the study of Arabic Language and morphology in Brunei Darussalam, the second represents the basics of preparing content, the third deals with evaluation criteria in evaluating the morphology lessons and the fourth represents the display and interpretation of questionnaire and interview results. While the last chapter points out the most significant conclusions, among these, concluded that there is an affirmation regarding the efficient and convenient of morphological lessons with selected evaluation criteria. Based on that affirmation, the appropriate and suitability of morphological lessons with students’ levels of respective schools are automatically confirmed. This is based on interpreting questionnaire and interview results. There are also some suggestions and recommendations stated in the last chapter in order to fill the deficiencies and to treat the problems of language teaching.
