dc.description.abstractVisiting the cemetery is a common practice among Malay community in Brunei, which follows the principle of Malay Islamic monarchy. Visiting the cemetery had been the customs of malay community and visiting the cemetery every year had been traditionally passed down from generation to generation and the visit is normally done during the time of Eidul Fitri, to get more blessings to those who passed away by recitation of Doa recitation of The Holy Quran.In this Academic Exercise, the study is focusing on the customs and practices of Malay community of Brunei before and during visiting the cemetery according to Islamic laws. The methodology that has been used in this study as the literature review that covers the customs and practice of Malay community in Brunei Darussalam according to the Islamic Law. From the study that has been conducted, the another had concluded the custom and practices of Malay community in Brunei during visiting the cemetery are not against the teachings of Islam.en_US
