This academic exercise aims to explain their customs regarding death; prior to the moment of death and after death, their methods in preparing the body of the deceased and the customs practiced after the funeral, as well as the opinion of the fuqahas on the subject. In order to achieve the purpose of this academic exercise, the writer uses the deductive reasoning and analysis methods in analysis of the two main sources of Islam, which are al-Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as old and modern Islamic Jurisprudence books, articles, and information found from the internet related to the topic. Based on those references, the writer verifies that nearly all of the customs practiced by Bruneian Malays do not go against the true Islamic teaching, except for some matters mentioned in this academic exercise.en_US
