dc.description.abstractThis paper focus on the characteristics of qadhi and rules of conviction in Islam which are meant to uphold justice, preserve peace, maintain human rights such as life and property. All of these objectives are to prevent injustice against any penalty after conviction, and also to uphold in implementing the proper penalty according to the comitted offences based on the correct Islamic method of conviction. With all the methods, the respective qadhi could distinguish either he is implementing the system in a right way or otherwise which could be proven that he is a just judge or otherwise. In this paper also explains characteristics of qadhi which accommodate prerequisite conditions and etiquette of a qadhi in order to perform the proper judgement. This paper elaborates the methods of conviction which are facilitated in court. The methodology used in this paper is based on books that wrote by the known scholars in the respective field, and also other references which are available in libraries in completing the contents for the above topics.en_US
