Attempts will be made to interpret and evaluate the authentic ahadith of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) on healing in three things (al-Shifa'fi Thalatha) namely by a gulp of honey (al-asal), cupping (al-hijamah) and cauterization (al-kayy). The study is extremely interesting and important because it throws light on the conditions of Muslims in the time of Prophet (saw) ie, how did they treat the disease, if somebody was sick. It seems from the ahadith on healing in three things that the treatment of diseases, in the time of the Prophet (saw), was also based on the cause of disease and thus, given the level of scientific knowledge that existed at that time. Several companions of the Prophet (saw) had been successfully treated of certain disease after following the medical advices and instructions of the Prophet (saw).en_US
