Abstract

This paper covers matters concerning whipping in Sharia. This research aims to supply and provide a better understanding about it and wisdoms behind it. It also explains the conditions, ways to prove the punishment and how to implement it in accordance with Islamic law, and opinion of the scholars on it. It also explains the tools used for caning, whipping limbs and how it is implemented and the place to execute it. In order to get information about it, the researcher refers to the old and new versions of books of fiqh, and refers to previous assessments that related with it.
