Abstract

Recently, Proximity is a serious problem and it is one of the enormous and perilous crimes. It is often heard in Syariah Courts in Brunei Darussalam. This crime has spread to every edge of the Islamic countries including Brunei Darussalam itself. Meanwhile, in this thesis, more details about proximity will be discussed and the reasons that caused the proximity along with its negative impact on the individual, and as well on the society. Next is ways in overcoming this problem and some suggestions in educating our children about things that violate the Islamic tenets along with its solution based on Shariah guidelines.
